Long time no see, huh? I really don't know why I haven't submit photos for such a long time. O_0 But here we go!
Lucius got a new face up in December. Made by me of course.
OH, and remember - HE'S A BOY! XD ________________ model: Msdoll Drayton
Thank yo so much for DD! =Eitvys200 for suggesting and ^Kaz-D for featuring. Thank you for all comments and faves! Also for all Invitations for your awesome clubs! I am so so happy that you like my little, shy boy. Yes, Lucius is very shy. :3
They're ball jointed dolls. You do what you want with them. They're incredibly customizable and most of them are very easy to pose. You can paint their faces, sew their clothes, even make wigs and eyes for them if you're really patient and talented. They make excellent still life subjects for photographers. Google ball jointed doll or BJD and have a look.
(I wonder how many 'angry replies' will this post receive..?) I own many BJDs, and I live in South America, I mean, I'm not an elitist or a snoob, but, honestly..?, I don't see why this particular picture is a "DD"....I mean, I run a group and I come across SO many different and wonderful pictures....don't get me wrong, is a very nice picture, with a decent face-up, but is a random shot, the face-up does not have any particularity, and I really think if you keep on practicing you are going to improve a lot, but back to the point, I see no merit in this picture, of course I know some (-if not "the most"-) of the DD are inspired because 'someone has a friend of a friend ho is on the DA team'... but really...even if I can do understand "normal people" ho is not used to see BJDs might be surprised, the rest of the world ho has or know about BJDs should be like 'what's so special about this absolutely random pic?'....and most possibly, no one wold be able to answer that question, because, there is nothing important about the picture, the doll or the makeup/face-up, honestly, is a "meh" picture among 1thousend very nice and wonderful creative inspired artistic pictures you can fin ANY-DAY here on DA from any random BJD owner or artist... and that's it, I just had to say it. :l
I've never heard of bjd's before now. Here I thought that this person actually made this doll. I looked up the Msdoll Drayton model they mentioned, and all they did was add hair and a little paint to this doll. They should probably clarify that in the description.
I see that you don't know anything about BJDs, so please consider this as an advice. Actually, she doesn't have to clarify this in description. She wrote the name of the company and mold, so I don't know where is the problem. Also trust me it's not just "hair" or "little paint" and doll magically looks so stunning. You don't know anything about this hobby, yet offend a very talented make-up artist. Paiting dolls is extremely difficult, owners put much effort and soul into making these dolls looking the way they look. Many owners also make their wigs from scratch, not to mention clothes, shoes, accessories and everyhting else. As far as companies make blank, empty shells, it's the owner that makes dolls special. This is how this hobby works, so please respect that
This dude totally looks like my cousin, and shes a chick. Also this "Dude" reminds me of the chick from traffic when shes all passed out in the gross hotel. This is a beautiful picture, and I appreciate the work you put into it. Also your camera work is on point. Did you use a macro lens? What kind of dimensions does this doll have?
